Brisbane's southside is one of the city's most active areas for trailer hire — a mix of established family homes, growing suburbs, and a strong local community of renovators, movers, and small business operators. Residents from Mount Gravatt, Wishart, Upper Mount Gravatt, and Carindale all have a convenient, fully self-serve trailer pickup point right here in Mansfield.

What Mansfield Locals Hire Trailers For

The southside has its own personality when it comes to trailer jobs. Here are the most common reasons locals book from our Mansfield depot:

• Moving house on the southside — Mount Gravatt, Wishart, and Upper Mount Gravatt are popular, fast-moving suburbs where residents frequently move without a removalist. A self-hired trailer gets the furniture from A to B for a fraction of the price.
• Renovation and tip runs — bathroom and kitchen renovations in Holland Park and Carindale generate significant amounts of tile, plasterboard, old fixtures, and timber that needs to go to the tip quickly and efficiently.
• Garden and green waste — storm cleanup, tree prunings, palm fronds, and lawn clippings pile up fast on southside properties. One trip to the tip with a caged trailer clears what would otherwise take multiple ute loads.
• Furniture pickups and marketplace finds — a couch, wardrobe, or dining table bought on Facebook Marketplace rarely fits in a standard car. A quick hire from Mansfield solves that problem in under an hour.
• Eight Mile Plains business deliveries — light commercial loads for small business operators in the southside industrial and business precincts.

Trailer Options at Mansfield

Two 8×5 box trailers are available at the Mansfield depot — our most popular size, and the right tool for the vast majority of southside jobs:

• 8×5 box trailer — handles single-room moves, green waste, tip runs, furniture pickups, and most everyday hauling tasks. Compatible with most passenger vehicles and SUVs fitted with a towbar. Two trailers on-site means availability is rarely an issue.

You can hire by the 4-hour block, full day, or multiple days. The security deposit is fully refundable on return, and pricing is shown transparently before you commit — no surprises at checkout.
